Al-Khadra is the northernmost and most populous city in the Hurmu Emirate of Al-Khadra. The city was devastated during the Barikalus-Hurmu war.

A bridge to connect it over the River Glacei with Vadimbaatar is being constructed (projected for 1710).

Occupied by Hurmu from 1704 to 1708, the city came, along with Khanabad, under Hurmu sovereignty on 1.X.1708 AN in accordance with the Dasil Agreement.

The city is represented in the Hurmu Soccer League by Al-Abadian Al-Khadra.
