Al-Abadian Al-Khadra is a Hurmudan football club based in Al-Khadra, Hurmu. The club competes in the Hurmu Soccer League, participating in the regional Al-Khadra Championship. Alongside Khanabad SC, Al-Abadian Al-Khadra was one of the two clubs from Al-Khadra that previously participated in the Lontinien Championship before a separate regional competition was established.
The club won its first Al-Khadra Championship in the 2026–27 season, defeating defending champions Khanabad SC 2–1 in the final.
History
Early participation
Before the creation of the Al-Khadra Championship, Al-Abadian Al-Khadra competed in the Lontinien Championship. Together with Khanabad SC, the club represented Al-Khadra in a regional competition dominated by clubs from Lontinien.
The establishment of the Al-Khadra Championship in 2024–25 marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club, allowing it to compete against other teams from its own region.
2024–25 season
Al-Abadian Al-Khadra participated in the inaugural Al-Khadra Championship during the 2024–25 Hurmu Soccer League season. The club was drawn into Group A alongside Khanabad SC and SC Faonese. In the opening match of the competition, Al-Abadian Al-Khadra suffered a 0–3 defeat against Khanabad SC.
The club subsequently drew 1–1 with SC Faonese. With one point from two matches, Al-Abadian Al-Khadra finished behind both other teams in its group and was eliminated from the competition. The early elimination prevented the club from participating in the National Championship.
2026–27 season
The 2026–27 season marked a significant improvement in the club's regional fortunes. Al-Abadian Al-Khadra was once again drawn into Group A alongside Khanabad SC and SC Faonese. The club opened the competition with a narrow 1–2 defeat against defending champions Khanabad SC. However, a 2–0 victory over SC Faonese in its second group match secured three points and second place in the group. Al-Abadian Al-Khadra advanced to the semi-finals, where it faced Group B winners Qasr Walili FC. A 1–0 victory secured the club's first appearance in the Al-Khadra Championship final.
The final was a rematch against Khanabad SC, who had defeated Al-Abadian Al-Khadra in the opening group match. Al-Abadian Al-Khadra reversed the earlier result with a 2–1 victory, becoming the second club to win the regional championship. The triumph ended Khanabad SC's reign as regional champions and secured Al-Abadian Al-Khadra's first Al-Khadra Championship title.
Rivalries
Al-Abadian Al-Khadra maintains a regional rivalry with Khanabad SC, one of its principal competitors within Al-Khadra football. Both clubs previously participated in the Lontinien Championship and were among the founding participants of the Al-Khadra Championship.
