Faisal van Looveren was twice Grand Vizier of the government-in-exile of the Islamic Internet Republic.

He had different views on the restoration of the IIR to Micras than most members of the leading IRP.

After the restoration he was the leader of the opposition and founded the South Corum Independence Party. The SCIP argued for the independence of the English majority governorates. After the independence of Kurum Ash-Sharqia he became its first Grand Vizier.

Faisal Van Looveren is seen as Kurum Ash-Sharqia's founding father. In 1702 AN he was awarded the title of Grand Officer is the Order of As-Saif.
