Membership was, and there were six classes of membership: Shoɂ, Shogi, Shoshin, Dere, Dejin, and Detoɂ. These levels, based on the cap and rank system of ancient Yamatai, were attained by accruing a certain number of miles within one calendar year. An invitation-only card, called Otan, was offered to some VIPs, celebrities, and politicians, which was rumored to guarantee upgrade to Gold Car or Iɂban.
