The Jääland national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Jääland. It was a member of the AEFA. The team is the official predecessor of Iselande.
History
The team was founded in late 2019 after Jääland's Micrasian claim was successful. The team first competed in the following year's Copa Apollonia qualifiers, where they finished bottom of their six-team group after losing all of their matches; a record that earned them an invite to the 2020 Emerging Nations Cup. In the Emerging Nations Cup, the team won their quarter-final after extra time over Alperkin before losing to Goëtia in the semi-finals and then beating the Strait of Haifa to place third. The team later competed in the 2020 Noka Cup, where they finished bottom of their group after losing all three matches.
In the 2021 FMF World Cup qualification rounds, the team finished bottom of their five-team group with a sole point to their name and once again gained a place in the Emerging Nations Cup. In the Emerging Nations Cup, they comfortably beat the Franklin Islands and Plazas de Irian to reach the final, where they overcame Goëtia 1–0 to secure a first ever trophy.
In the following year's Copa Apollonia qualifiers, the team again finished bottom of their five-team group with one point and were subsequently granted a place in the 2022 Emerging Nations Cup, where they lost on penalties in the quarter-finals to the Ecclesiastical Mountain Republic. Shortly afterwards, Jääland was annexed by Meckelnburgh, and was succeeded by the autonomous territory of Iselande.
