The Gerenian parliamentary election of 2016 was held on 10-11 September 2016 to elect members of the Parliament of Gerenia.
Background
The 2016 election was the third parliamentary election, with the ruling Independent Party as favourites. In this election, representatives of Trans-Samarne and East Gerenia were elected for the first time.
Parties
The main parties that contested the election were the Independent Party, the Socialist Party, the Popular Party, the Nationalist Party, the Hope Party, and the Reformist Party.
In Maremedres, the Socialist Party and the Popular Party formed once again the "Orange Maremedres" coalition, and won two seats in each house.
