Yamato Wei is a socialist activist in Jingdao. He was born in 1634 as the son of the leftist politician Ming Wei. Yamato Wei is infamous within Jingdao for speeches attributed to him which influenced the Nivelle Mutiny during the War of Lost Brothers. Although Yamato Wei claimed not to have written the speeches, he was sentenced to thirty years of forced labour in 1656 AN. Despite pleas of his uncle, Tsukono Wei, he was not sent home through one of the many amnesties which were granted by the Chidao Emperor. During his imprisonment, Yamato has been named as the author of many socialist and democratic pamphlets that are illicitly circulated throughout the Jingdaoese Empire by the underground Nokarodo Faction.
