History
Vire's history dates back to the Francianan period. The Francianan established Vire as an outpost to control the northern regions. The cavalry at Vire succeeded in repelling Norse raids. Later, the region fell within the borders of the Free Republic of Aliquantum. Korhal briefly replaced the Free Republic's territory, which was then returned to the Free Republic. Later, the region passed successively to Varja, Karnali, and Durntkinstan. Following these states, the region returned to Norman rule. Stormark then invaded the northern lands of Stormark and established the Jarldom of Normandie there. Vire came under Gralan rule for a long time during this time. After the fall of Gralus, the region remained vacant for a time, and Vire was incorporated into the Jarldom of Normandy during the Storish expansion of 1626 AN. Between 1626 AN and 1685 AN, the city was a significant medium-sized town. After the fall of Stormark in 1685 AN, the region fell under the control of various warlords.
In 1727 AN, Hurmu annexed the region, but for unknown reasons the region was returned to the green in 1744 AN. The city changed hands repeatedly for sixty years, until 1744 AN. In 1744 AN, it was one of the first cities captured by the NRA and incorporated into the Orton Line. Normandy was subsequently reestablished under Hurmudan rule and incorporated into the lordship of Béthencourt.
