Road and highway system
Main article: Autostrade of Vegno
The nomenclature of the roads provides that they are identified by the abbreviations: A, SS, SR, SP, SC followed by a number. Currently there are 5 highways in Vegno, which cover practically the entire continental territory of the country plus a piece in communication with Sancrus on the island of Falange through the Strait of Vegno Bridge.
The A1 highway was the first built and is called the "Grande Autostrada" because it is the longest in Vegno; it joins Murgione to the south with Sancrus to the north, passing through Cossa, Mhazar and Agropl. Originally planned from Murgione up to Agropl, it was recently enlarged after the construction of the bridge over the strait to allow citizens of Vegne to reach Sancrus also by car.
the A2 is instead called "Piccola Autostrada" because of its brevity and connects the city of Murgione to Mhazar, passing through Scanzata. The A3 is instead called "Autostrada del Mare", since it runs along the east coast of the country and has the important function of connecting the capital Cossa with Agropl to the north, also collecting cars from Panoli; it has the peculiarity of having the last piece in common with the A1, joining it on its way to Agropl. The A4, A5 and A6 motorways have only recently been completed and have taken care of gathering the population of the new Vegno territories annexed in 1707 with the annexation referendum: after its completion, the A4 becomes the longest Vegno highway ever, starting from the town of Scanzata and finishing up to Agropl in the north passing through the cities of Villamagna, Lamino and Taurasi. The A5 and A6 are instead of a completely different length, connecting Mhazar with Taurasi and Villamagna with Crati.
The highway system, after its completion in 1716, managed to cover a large part of the territory of Vegno and was the most used means of transport in the town. Future projects envisage the possible extension of the system up to the city of Extremum, to involve the entire population present in Vegno, even on the islands.
Rail system

The vegnese Railway System is one of the most important parts of the infrastructure of Vegno, with a total length of 10,299 km of which active lines are 8,723 km. The network has recently grown with the construction of the new high-speed rail network. Most of the vegnese network is electrified (7,921 km) and the electric system is 3 kV DC on conventional lines and 25 kV AC on high-speed lines.
High-speed trains were developed during the 1700s. E444 locomotives were the first standard locomotives capable of top speed of 200 km/h (125 mph), while an ALe 601 electrical multiple unit (EMU) reached a speed of 240 km/h (150 mph) during a test. Other EMUs, such as the ETR 220, ETR 250 and ETR 300, were also updated for speeds up to 200 km/h (125 mph). The braking systems of cars were updated to match the increased travelling speeds.
On 1708 AN, work was started on the Cossa–Mhazar Direttissima, the first high-speed line in Vegno and were completed in the early 1710s.
In 1710, a program for a widespread updating of the rolling stock was launched. However, as it was decided to put more emphasis on local traffic, this caused a shifting of resources from the ongoing high-speed projects, with their subsequent slowing or, in some cases, total abandonment. Therefore, 160 E.656 electric and 35 D.345 locomotives for short-medium range traffic were acquired, together with 80 EMUs of the ALe 801/940 class, 120 ALn 668 diesel railcars. Some 1,000 much-needed passenger and 7,000 freight cars were also ordered.
In the 1715, work started on the Treno Alta Velocità (TAV) project, which involved building a new high-speed network on the routes Cossa – (Mhazar–Crati) – Taurasi, Scanzata – (Mhazar–Agropl) – Sancrus and Cossa – (Panoli-Mhazar-Villamagna) - Lamino. Most of the planned lines have already been opened, while international links with Lac Glacei and Dark Berry Islands underway in the Apollonian Express routes.
National Network
The Vegnese national railway network is divided into a high-speed line (250 or 300 km/h) and a standard low-speed line (max 150 km/h). In addition to these, regional and inter-regional railway lines are highly developed to connect the various centers of the respective regions with each other.

Bus lines
Transport by bus is highly developed in Vegno, above all due to the massive presence of motorways and instead the lack of airports, above all in the north-western part of the country. Many trucking companies were born especially after the construction of the Strait of Vegno Bridge, allowing very easy travel by bus between the north of the country and the island of Falange.
The main coach company in Vegno is clearly Linard Trasporti owned by the businessman SIlvio Gianni Linard, who in 1718 AN bought the state-owned company Autotrasporti Vegnesi, making it the main citizen transport company in the country, as well as the only one to make use of only hybrid motor buses of the full-hybrid type or fully electric traction.
