Port d'Est (Alexandrian: Port de l'Est) is a federal city of Oportia and one of the country's principal maritime-industrial centers. Established in 1730 AN during the integration of territories from the Southeastern Eura Provisional Administration, the city occupies a strategic position along a coastal strip that bisects Daau into eastern and western regions. With a population of 428,922 (1733 AN census), Port d'Est has developed into a major deep-water port and industrial hub, hosting one of Eura's largest port complexes with an annual capacity of 12 million TEUs.
The city serves as headquarters for several major industrial operations, including the Port d'Est Supershipyard (operated jointly by NavalTech Shipyards and the Pontecorvo Firm), the Port d'Est Technology Park, and the Port d'Est Petrochemical Complex. These facilities have established Port d'Est as a crucial center for shipbuilding, semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace components production, and petrochemical processing, with the city's oil and gas export terminal handling 2.5 million barrels daily. The rapid industrialization and strategic location of Port d'Est have made it instrumental in Oportia's economic expansion and maritime trade strategies in southeastern Eura.
The city is home to two large military installations for the Oportian Security Forces, the Oportian Navy base ONB Caenarvon and the Oportian Air Force base OAB Tabriz. The city has a significant soldier and veteran community due to the presence of these bases and other military facilities.
