Port d'Est Supershipyard
The Port d'Est Supershipyard is a major shipbuilding complex in Port d'Est, Oportia, spanning approximately 1,285 hectares along the city's eastern coast. Established in 1730 AN during the initial development of Port d'Est, the complex comprises four major shipbuilding facilities: the NavalTech Shipyards main production facility (428 hectares), the ONB Caenarvon naval shipyard (385 hectares), the Pontecorvo Firm marine division facility (312 hectares), and the Port d'Est Maritime Industrial Park (160 hectares). The complex represents one of the largest concentration of shipbuilding capacity in Eura, capable of simultaneously constructing vessels ranging from small patrol craft to large aircraft carriers and commercial supertankers.
The centerpiece of the complex is the NavalTech Shipyards facility, featuring three dry docks capable of handling vessels up to 400,000 tons displacement, including the largest dock in Oportia measuring 600 meters in length. Adjacent to this is ONB Caenarvon, the Navy of Oportia's primary shipbuilding and maintenance facility, which includes two specialized submarine construction halls and a classified underwater testing facility. The Pontecorvo Firm operates a state-of-the-art shipyard specializing in commercial vessel construction and advanced propulsion systems, featuring the complex's most advanced automated manufacturing systems. The Maritime Industrial Park houses several smaller specialized facilities, including Leviathan Dynamics' military patrol craft facility and Nautilus Shipyards' high-speed ferry construction operation.
As of 1733 AN, the Port d'Est Supershipyard complex employs over 42,000 people directly and supports an estimated 125,000 indirect jobs in the surrounding region. The facility has played a crucial role in Oportia's naval modernization efforts under the Oportian Defense Review 1723 and serves as a key component of the nation's maritime industrial strategy. The complex maintains high-security areas, particularly around ONB Caenarvon and NavalTech
