Port de Huile is a federal and largest city in Oportia. According to the 1716 census, the city has 1,091,182 inhabitants.

History

Main article: Port Ulje

The city was founded in 1662 as Port Ulje, a Krasnocorian protectorate, federal subject and crown port city. The region was rapidly urbanised and industrialized, specializing in oil and gas sector. It was also a major hub for Krasnocorian Armed Forces, which enforced the martial law to protect the local resources.

Following the collapse of the Krasnocorian state and Sylvanian National Awakening in 1687, Port Ulje faced major economic and financial decline, which forced many foreign workers to leave the area. Local oil and gas extraction companies have been sold to various corporations.

In 1706, Oportia declared independence, and the official city status was granted under the name Port de Huile. Despite being the largest city in the moment of the declaration of independence, the city was not declared a capital city due to its lack of public infrastructure and heavy industrialization.
