Muzaffar de Lange was a politician in New Batavia, member of the Islamic Revolutionary Party. In 2023, he succeeded Rania Lucius to the office of Grand Vizier.

After his first tenure as Grand Vizier, his cabinet coalition with the Green Party lost its majority, but he was able to form a new coalition with the Liberals. After his second tenure, this coalition also lost its majority and a leftist bloc, headed by Zainab Tienpondt, was able to form a new cabinet.
