Kaiser Ayreon VI Parade in Daocheng

The Kaiser Ayreon VI Parade took place in Daocheng in the Restricted City on 14.V.1758. This parade consisted of selected units of the Five Banners Army as well as floats that depicted important cultural achievements of Jingdaoese culture. Chief organiser of the parade was the Qishou Emperor who had invited Kaiser Ayreon VI and would watch the parade together with him. Goal of the parade was to show the young Kaiser, he was only 12 years old, that the Jingdaoese had regained their pride and were an important part of the empire. In the background there were rumours that the Golden Mango Throne wanted to concentrate more on the Benacian territories of the empire and was even considering giving up certain territories on Apollonia. Public broadcasting companies such as the Batavian Broadcasting Company and the Union Jing Broadcast were invited to broadcast an uncritical and polished report of the parade. The city was placed under strict security measurements to ensure that nothing could go wrong, police officers were instructed to search every person that would be found on the streets for weapons, and those that had not been chosen to participate in the celebrations, at the appointed locations, were told to stay at home or leave the Restricted City in time.
The parade started with the arrival of the Kaiser and Heavenly Light at the Golden Gate of Harmony, where a pavilion was constructed from which the monarchs could observe the parade passing them. The pavilion was decorated with the flags of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, Jingdao and Daocheng, in that order. Around the pavilion stood Jingdaoese soldiers in traditional dress uniforms, armed with modern rifles. Bound servants offered cups of imperial white tea to the monarchs while two musicians entertained them with traditional music.
The parade opened with children belonging to the Young Wandering Society marching past the pavilion, greeting the monarchs excitedly. They were followed by selected units of the Five Banners Army that were accompanied by prototypes of the Dolstier III, a main battle tank that had not previously been announced. The Five Banners Army units were followed by a giant dragon puppet, with which a dragon dance was performed and which was accompanied by percussionists. The dragon was followed by factory workers from Sokoku Industries, some of whom drove Sokoku Ka cars that came fresh from the factory. Then followed farmers, who were marching with their scythes as if they were soldiers from days-gone-by. The children belonging to the Young Wandering Society returned in the end and addressed the Kaiser, singing a song that was partially sung in Istvanistani, partially in Jingdaoese. It told the story of a dragon that had been sleeping for a while, but had awoken and was looking forward to meet its friends again. The children then approached the Kaiser and offered him traditional Jingdaoese sweets.
The parade ended with a fly-past from jet planes that coloured the sky with Shirerithian blue and Jingdaoese red.
