The Association for Football and Sport in the Lanzerwald is the federation in the Lanzerwald that organises both football and sport competitions and is the nation's football governing body with several thousand football clubs as members. Football is played in a league system, with the Prima Foederatio being the most prestigious league. Only the clubs in the Prima Foederatio have players that have playing football as their primary profession, players in the Secundus Foederatio are often paid on days that they have matches and training sessions, but need to hold another job to thrive in life. Sport is usually played in ad-hoc competitions that are played in one location on a single weekend and has no professional players, although many professional football players do play sport in their free time. The best players are selected to play in the Lanzerwald national football team, their first official international match was against Goëtia and was won 1-2 as the Sankt Ludwigshafen national football team as part of the 2021 FMF World Cup qualification.
