The Cruise of the Babak Shah was an operational sortie of the Constancian Navy, originally scheduled to commence in mid-1679 but subsequently rescheduled to late 1680 owing to delays in provisioning and gathering together sufficient crewing for the allocated vessels. The sortieing force, comprising of the KP Babak Shah, a Shah-class Command Vessel itself based upon a rebuild of the Swift-class Off-Shore Patrol Vessel, escorted by two Klimatariá-class Missile Corvettes and a Logistic Support Vessel. Its exact purpose remained classified but rumours current in the port of Aqaba suggested that the Babak Shah would be tasked with investigating recent colonisation efforts by non-Euran powers along the Zsharran Coast of south-western Eura.
