Axikakan ("solidarity", "mutual responsibility" in Sanaman) was founded on 12.X.1754 when President Toti Lampa reformed the old Workers' Revolutionary Front. The new party leans more heavily into left-wing nationalism and populism. Shortly after founding, Toti Lampa oversaw the election of his son, Esra Ketema Lampa, as the new chairperson of the party on 1.I.1755. Later that year, Ketema Lampa succeeded his father as President of Sanama.
Axikakan's election program combines left-wing populism and progressivism. It opposes neoliberal economic policy and supports state control over strategic sectors such as electricity and energy, increased investment in infrastructure and expansion of social welfare programs. The voter base consists mostly of working-class people, rural communities, poor people in the cities, and ethnic minorities. At its formation and in the election a year later, Axikakan won both the presidency and a large majority in the Lhusan Nasyonal. On the regional and local level, it holds a majority of governorships, elected assemblies with few exceptions, and many local leaders. With a total membership of 9.5 million, it is the largest political party in the history of Sanama.

Chairpersons
The chairperson of the party is the president of the National Executive Committee. The chairperson is considered to be very powerful, as the party at least partially conforms to the personal ideology and policy positions of the leader.

National Governing Board
The National Governing Board consists of 31 members, of which seven also constitute its Executive Committee. The executive committee is responsible to the governing board for the day-to-day governance of the party and its affairs, as well as having primary responsibility for executing decisions made by the National Congress and the governing board. The executive committee consists of the chairperson, a party secretary and five regular members. The chairperson is responsible for the overall guidance of the party in policy, while the secretary is responsible for the running of the party organisation. The national congress elect the members of both the governing board and the executive committee. All members are elected by the national congress, except for the chairperson, who is elected by all party members. An equal number of substitutes are also elected by the national congress. The chairpersons of the youth, student, women's, minorities and LGBTQ+ organisations are adjoined to the executive committee and national board and may attend its meetings, but do not have voting rights.
National Congress
The National Congress is the highest decision-making body of the party. It convenes every five years, in the year preceding the year when general elections are held. The congress consists of at least 650 members, elected from local "workers' councils" in various cities, towns, localities and rural areas. The congress decides on the political direction of the party and passes an electoral program for the elections the following year. Between the sessions, the congress is represented by its standing committee, consisting of 65 members elected by the congress. The standing committee can make decisions in place of the National Congress when it is not in session. The National Governing Board and its Executive Committee are responsible to the National Congress and its standing committee.
