The launch of four salvos of unguided rockets, fired from concealed locations in the restive Shirekeep suburb of Cabbagefall, saw munitions lobbed in the general vicinity of the Palace of Zirandorthel, home of the Landsraad, and Raynor's Keep, residence of the Kaiseress and seat of the Imperial Government.
The timing of the harassment fire, directed against high prestige government buildings in the capital of the Imperial Republic, to coincide with the commencement of the attack on the Immeritus pleasure district, appeared intended to divert and disorientate the city guard, constabulary, and garrison, by forcing them to respond to multiple threats simultaneously.
