The Kavalos national football team was the football team which most recently represented the Vanderveeren territory of Kavalos, and previously represented the independent republic of the same name. It was a member of the CTFA.
History
The team was founded in late 2007 after Kavalos' Micrasian claim was successful. The team competed in the World Cup qualifiers the following year, topping their four-team group after winning all of their matches to advance to the play-offs, where they beat Zindaria 3–1 to qualify. The play-offs also acted as the semi-finals for the 2008 CiboTap Championships, with the team advancing to the final, where they won 2–1 against overwhelming favourites Alexandria. Prior to the World Cup finals, Kavalos was annexed by Vanderveer. In the tournament, however, the team could not continue their success and finished bottom of their group despite beating Nova England in their opening match.
Kavalos' fortunes lessened still in the following year's qualifiers, with the team finishing bottom of the CTFA's sole five-team group with three points. Kavalos left Micras later in the year as part of Vanderveer's removal.
