Operation Sentinel Shield is a military operation initiated by Oportia in response to Floria's military incursion into unclaimed territories on the northeastern side of the Euran Continent. Launched in 1733 AN, the operation represents Oportia's commitment to countering what it perceives as reckless foreign intervention in Euran affairs, particularly against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between local factions in the Wars of the Dispossessed and the Alexandrium Wars, Azad Eura and the Confederacy of the Dispossessed.
Background
Operation Sentinel Shield was ordered by Federal Representative Galilea Montijo after Floria Today began reporting that the Florian military "prepares a Euran offensive against the Confederate-Azad Euran coalition."[1] Concerned by the expansionism of a non-Euran nation that had used chemical and biological weapons in warfare, the Oportian government ordered the full mobilization of the Oportian Security Forces and all reserve personnel. Floria's invasion of strategic unclaimed lands in Eura was considered by Oportia a direct threat to the stability of the continent.
