Floria Today (FT) is a state-controlled domestic and international television network funded by the tax revenue of the Florian government. It operates pay television and free-to-air channels directed to audiences within and outside of Floria, as well as providing internet content in every major language on Micras.
FT is a conservative news and political commentary television channel and website based in Northcliff and is owned and founded by Trueman International. It is the most-watched cable news network in Floria and provides a service to the majority of Micras, excluding red-listed countries by the Florian Government.
The channel was established in 1705 by Ronald Trueman to appeal to a conservative audience and challenge the left-leaning and larger network, FBC.
FT coverage on a regular basis has included biased and inaccurate reporting in favor of the UPR, its politicians, and conservative causes while portraying the Social Democratic Party in a negative light. Critics worldwide have argued that the channel compromises the integrity of media globally, and FT has consistently denied bias in its news reporting. The channel’s official stance was that its reporting operates independently of its opinion journalism.
Despite its controversies, FT remains Floria’s largest source of international media and has experienced significant growth in viewership since its inception in 1705. It is one of the leading users of Tweeter globally.
Political alignment
Frequent coverage of the United Party of the Republic (UPR) by Floria Today has included biased and inaccurate reporting that favors the UPR, its politicians, and conservative causes while presenting the Social Democratic Party in a negative light. Critics globally have asserted that the channel compromises the integrity of global media, and FT has repeatedly denied bias in its news reporting. The channel’s official stance was that its reporting operates independently of its opinion journalism. FT has actively promoted false conspiracy theories to advance United Republican and conservative causes.
