The Pattern M1671 Combat System was developed by Neridia Defense Industries for the elite forces of the Raspur Pact, based upon the experiences of infantry deployed in the War of Lost Brothers, with the intention of improving the connectivity and combat effectiveness of deployed personnel. The complete set of twenty ballistic armour pieces completely encased the body, worn over a sealed full-body, form-fitting black garment, and typically had no individually distinguishing marking outside of rank.

The protection of the upper torso was enhanced with front, back, and side ceramic armour plates set over the embedded environmental microclimate conditioning system and in-built medical treatment system, capable of monitoring body functions, diagnosing wounds, staunching bleeding, and infusing drugs and stimulants.

The M1671 Helmet, a composite remodelling of the M1639 Stahlhelm, that featured a shell made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene materials and housings for modular communications and situational awareness equipment, incorporated connectivity with the established Panopticon Network. The Auxiliary Digital Persona (ADP), a form of Natopian artifical intelligence embedded in the helmet's operating system, provided enhanced situational awareness and alerts concerning threats in the immediate environment, and also allowed the wearer to communicate with and operate remote weapon systems, including automated gun emplacements and drones. The ADP provided automatic language translation, allowing the user's speech to be translated and broadcast to listeners in a digitally vocalised and ideally readily comprehensible manner. The ADP was also programmed to recognise non-verbal modes of communication and to conduct threat assessments through facial recognition profiling.

The black-gray body glove worn under the armour is made of fibres engineered to have anti-microbial properties. The body-love thereby increased health and hygiene by reducing exposure to fungal and parasite infestations. The user recharged the worn technology of the Combat System through a power and data network, embedded in the fabric of the body-glove, that provided energy generation and storage through bionic harvesters and electrically conductive nano-fibres.

The ADP communicates with the tiny micro-sensors, embedded in the body-glove and armoured segments, to monitor body vitals and assess the psychological condition of the user as well as levels of work load, hydration, and fatigue. The data gathered in this manner is passed up the command chain via the Panopticon permitting personnel management in the field at higher levels.

Typically only worn during the opening assault phase of an operation, usually a night action, personnel equipped with this combat system would not be expected to hold captured territory for any extended period and would, if obliged to, revert to wearing a standard field uniform and partial plate body armour at the earliest opportunity.
