Haakon Bjarnarson(1540–1602) was a Hurmu policitian. Having been elected to the local pre-independence Parlerment of Hurmu, he was admitted to the Order of the Holy Lakes and the Senate of the Lakes upon Hurmu's independence in 1599.
Married to Kala Kolgrimsdottar (1538–1602), he had two children, Bjorn Haakonsson (1564–1602) and Liv Haakonsdottar (1567–1603). Haakon, his wife and two children died in the Hurmu genocide, but Liv's son, Layn u-Huruk (1603–1627) survived, being saved and cared for by Bjorn's surviving wife Njeta u-Malk (1570–1606). When Njeta died in 1606, Layn had been brought to safety. Layn would grow up and father a child, Samil, but die young at the age of 24. Samil's only child is Jan u-Samil Spiik (1645– ).
