The Joint Border Forces (JBF) (Alexandrian: Forces Frontalières Conjointes, or FFC), is an international law enforcement agency operating since 1714 AN in Constancia–Oportia, Suren–Oportia and Zeed–Oportia border zones.
The Oportian contigent is organised within the Special Command of Oportian Security Forces, while the contingents provided for the Constancian, Suren and Zeedic sectors of the border zone, working alongside their Oportian counterparts, are organised by the General Inspectorate of Eura and Corum, reporting to the Committee of Euran Salvation and the Trans-Euran Command of the Raspur Pact.
Background
Illegal migration in southwestern Eura region has become a major issue since the 1706 independence of Oportia, culminating in XIV.1712, following the expansion along the border lines of Constancia and Zeed. During the major waves of migration, the Oportian Security Forces were unable to act adequately due to the lack of resources and funding.
In XV.1713 AN, the talks between Constancian, Oportian and Zeedic delegations took place, in which the customs and border protection were the focus of the meeting.
Notable operations
- During 1715 AN – 1716 AN the Joint Border Forces were obliged to contend with a number of "spill-over" incidents arising from the Kapavian insurgency. In consequence, Constancia initiated planning for Fall Aquamarinblau in line with requests from Oportia for further assistance with border-security in the regions bordering the Suren Confederacy.
