Senior career
ANC Mericano
Zack would be signed by ANC Mericano after his trial with the club.
Ortega would be the club's top goalkeeper for 8 years with the club, winning loads of trophies and personal awards.
He would depart Mericano after the club pulled out of professional football due to license revoking.
Daau United
Ortega was picked up by Daau United at the end of the 2017/18 season due to Mericano pulling out. He would go on to play 85 games for Daau United while scoring a goal for them.
Eĵars Town
Ortega moved to Craitish outfit Eĵars Town FC in September 2022 for a fee of Cr 300,000 to act as an experienced deputy to Freddie Pellegrino.
International career
Born in Daau to Dauian-Matabese parents, Zack however chose Mataba over Daau as his first citizenship and has received a callup to the Matabese national football team since claiming his passport through his grandma who was, Matabese.
