The State of Oportia (Alexandrian: L'État d'Oportie) is a country located in the southwest of continent of Eura.
Etymology
Oportia's name comes from Alexandrian words "eau" (pronounced o, meaning water) and "port".
Politics
The Constitution of Oportia defines basic and political rights of individuals, as well as dividing the powers of all administrative divisions authorities and jurisdictions. On the federal level, there are three governing bodies: the Federal Cabinet (executive), Federal Electorate (legislative) and the Federal Court (judicial).
The Head of State and Government is the Federal Representative, with duties from approving or vetoing the bills voted by the Electorate, to representing the country abroad. The Federal Cabinet has a very short 3-month term with no re-election limits. The motion vote of confidence is held along with the referendums, which are also held each 3 months. The voters have the option to choose preferred candidates for the government positions in case the electorate votes no confidence to the Representative or any of the ministries within the Cabinet, and the ones with the most votes would take the office.
