The Diet of the Clear Sea, established in 1628 by the entry into force of the Treaty of the Clear Sea, is a former conference of the leaders of some of the former electorates (subdivisions) of Upper Cranda, viz.:

  • The Duchy of Anglien
  • The Kingdom of Eesdeheito
  • The Jarlorð of Jorvik
  • The Duchy of Jutien
  • The Khaganate of Lontinien
  • The Duchy the Vaan Aujoen

History

When Upper Cranda was dissolved in 1510, its territories were divided as follows:

Four years later, the Atkins Resolution of the MCS forced all these countries to renounce their claims on these territories.

More than a hundred years later – after the rise and fall of Novatainia, Toketi and the Gralan Empire – the heads of state of Stormark, Gotzborg, Natopia, and Alexandria met to discuss the regaining of some of these territories. They agreed to divide up some of the areas as follows:

The Treaty also recognised the titles over the territories as follows:

  • His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of the Alexandrians in His Capacity of Duke and Grand Elector of Anglien;
  • His Royal Majesty the King of Gotzborg in His Capacity of Duke and Grand Elector of Jutien;
  • His Most Bovic Majesty the Emperor of the Natopians in His Capacity of Jarl and Grand Elector of Jorvik;
  • His Imperial and Royal Majesty the High King of Stormark in His Capacity of King and Grand Elector of Eesdeheito, Khagan of Lontinien, and Duke of the Vaan Aujoen.

Furthermore, the Treaty also held that "it is hereby explicitly declared that the Grand Electorates which are mentioned in the preceding subarticle shall be vested in the Thrones of the various High Contracting Parties and shall devolve with the same in accordance with the constitutional and legal mechanisms of each High Contracting Party."
