Goetic families are somewhat analogous to cities in other nations. There are two types of families: cycle and nomadic. The cycle (or turf) families are self-governing communes consisting of thousands of demon-worshipers. The nomadic families are "biker gangs" that roam the highways between each commune, providing motorist assistance, protection from bandits from The Green, and general border patrol.
