  1. Noctic Vampirism is transmitted through the leaves of the Noctic-Rabrev. The disease may be also be passed from mother to infant during pregnancy, especially if the mother becomes infected during the third trimester. While those infected through the consumption of Noctic leaves may generally be cured of the disease by removing the leaves from their diet, there is no known cure for children born with the disease.
  2. While Noctic Vampirism cannot generally be transmitted through saliva or blood, exposure to the bodily fluids of a person infected with the disease can result in extremely vivid dreams and nightmares, and terrifying night time hallucinations and visions. In rare situations, individuals experiencing these visions may unknowingly attempt to consume blood and other bodily fluids, despite having no compulsion or desire to do so while awake. Such individuals are known to report and demonstrate symptoms of severe trauma.
N/A Altholugh Noctic Vampirism is most widely documented in the region surrounding Lake Morovia, in central Keltia, the disease poses a significant concern across much of Bassaridia, where trans-continental trade has contributed to the rapid expansion of the Noctic-Rabrev industry.
  1. Noctic Vampirism plays a central role in the Alperkin religion. Practitioners of this religion are known to seek out the disease, and to spread it to others once they acquire it.
Moderate (23.6%): Almost 24% of people who contract Noctic Vampirism are expected to eventually die from the condition.
