Biography
Jan Ábelder Korau was born in the eastern town of Gerze in May, 1991. He has an elder brother and a younger sister.
In 2012, just turned 21, Korau attended the trials held by the Gerze Football Club. The institution's manager, Dorian Spinelli, rapidly chose him for a second phase of the trials, as he stated that he had "aptitude to play as a central defender".
Korau appeared in sixteen matches for Gerze FC during 2012, being one of the few who played all of their games of the Gerenian League 1.
In December of that year, Korau was included in Pepe Eraýeý's "Thirty-Man List" — the pre-selected players to represent the Gerenia in the 2013 Four Nations Internationals. He was later called up. Korau's début with the Sailromes happened in the first matchday of the above-mentioned competition, when Gerenia faced Senya at Jogasim, on 5 January 2013. Korau was called up once more for the 2013 FMF World Cup qualification, eventually scoring the first goal of his entire career in a 1-1 draw with Safiria.[1]
From January 2014, Korau played for International SC.
