Ronald Trueman Jr. is a politician, media personality, and businessman who serves as the ninth president of Floria. A member of the UPR, he follows in the footsteps of his father, Ronald Trueman, who served as the fifth president from 1695 to 1707.
Born into the Trueman family in Northcliff, Trueman Jr. graduated from the University of Northcliff with an economics degree. During his father’s tenure as president, he managed Trueman International, Now Floria International Holdings effectively being an oligarch. After his father’s exile to Constancia following his ouster from office, Trueman Jr. entered the media world, becoming a television presenter for [[[Floria Today|FT]] and criticising the then Borisov Government.
Trueman Jr. officially joined the UPR during the Chopin administration and gained significant influence within the party during that period. He began as a representative and later became a senator for Southern Ontario.
Ronald Trueman Jr. was selected as the vice-presidential candidate under Michael Hutchinson. They served together from 1725 until Hutchinson’s resignation in 1744 due to pressure from the nation and Trueman himself during the Second Florian Civil War.
After leading federal forces to victory in the civil war, Trueman Jr. continued military and territorial ambitions and planned a offensive on unclaimed land in Western Corum exceeding ambitions from his own father during his administration. During his administration the Florian economy has grew rapidly as a result of post war economic reforms and an increase in the price of oil and gas, Floria's main export.
Considered an authoritarian figure like his father and mentor Isobel Chopin, Trueman Jr. alongside Vice President Rachael Halpburg has improved relations and cooperation with neighbouring states such as Cakaristan and former allies in the Raspur Pact. During his administration, anti left wing policies were put in place to eliminate so called leftist extremism under his National Security Act and as a result the traditional leftist party, the Social Democratic Party was suppressed by the Florian media blaming them responsible for the start of the Second Florian Civil War.
