Established at La Terre, in the Governorate of Nordland, on 14.IV.1723 AN, the Humanist Institute of Economics and Trade, a humanist institute operating on a charter received from the Benacian Academy, is a specialist institution geared towards the education and indoctrination of suitable meritorious subjects selected for service in the financial services of the Community of Goldfield and the Raspur Pact.

The objective for the Benacian Union was to create a Humanist Vanguard cadre capable of understanding and exploiting the international systems of high finance as counterparts to the Honoured Sons of the Honourable Company.

The institute focused on fundamental economics principles and emphasised the theories and policies of international economics, international trade, and overseas investment in the global economy, as well as on the operation of international trade and overseas investment in real world practices. This constituted a four-year programme run as the culmination of the normal education and indoctrination bestowed by a humanist institute.

The first two years would be concerned with the fundamentals of economics and improvement of the students competence in the primary trading languages of Micras, whilst the latter two years would be devoted to field courses and practice in the field of international economics, international trade, and international investment.
