Kaiseress Hypatia succeeded her mother as Kaiseress in 1524. With a long history of public service in her native Kildare and in the imperial government, Hypatia Agnesi was also a Cedrist priestess, serving the goddess Ryvenna.
Hypatia's first ministerial position was as Minister of Information. After organizing the Imperial Archives in a more accessible manner, she was awarded the Order of the Dragon for her efforts. She later married Nicholas Wylþeow du Grifos] (in 1494), Dutch of Kildare, and was accordingly given the honorary (or courtesy title) of Dutchess of Kildare, a title she held until her husband's removal from the Dutchy in 1500. During her role as first lady of Kildare, she was frequently called to represent Kildare in the Landsraad during her husband's absence and got a reputation as one of the more active nobles. In 1504, she was elected Prætor, and was also made Dutchess of Kildare in her own right, by-passing her husband who had been involved in embarrassing governmental leaks. He thus became consort Dutch of Kildare while she was Dutchess in her own right. A few years later, in 1509, she appealed to the Kaiser of the time for an imperial divorce which was granted. She celebrated the divorce by engaging in a ritual of boomist catharsis.
In 1513, after standing down from the prætorship, she became Arbiter (then known as Provost) of the Imperial Judex. She oversaw several trials during her tenure which lasted until 1524, when she succeeded her own mother as Kaiseress after the mother's abdication.
Hypatia's imperial reign began tumultuous; the nobles went so far to offer dissolution of the Imperial Republic as a solution to the incapability of the imperial government to provide for the nobility and denizens. After two–three years, Shireroth saw some stability and finally some economic growth. At that point, she felt that she had done what she set out to do as Kaiseress, and abdicated the throne, as now was the time and maturity for a peaceful transition.
Following her kaisership, Hypatia retired from public life, devoting her days to art and caring for her ailing mother. Upon the death of her mother in 1559, Hypatia Agnesi returned to the public stage once more and lead the nation in mourning, never to be seen again.
The Elwynnese county of Agnesia is named in her honour.
