Freeland, or People's Republic of Freeland (Freelandic:Republica Ludowa Freelandii), was a micronation located north of Apollonia. Its capital and largest city was Viten, then the most well-known cities were Glavat, Pnica and Klomina. Its president was Jakub Baran at all times, he was also a football player. Its population was at last 1,200,000 people and it had 32 real citizens.
It first reported its existence in 1653 AN and was registered by the MCS around 1654 AN. Freeland has shown great interest in sports throughout its existence. Freeland has introduced many famous players since its existence. In addition, it has become a full sports country by focusing on other sports besides football. Apart from sports, road transportation was also in a developed position compared to other countries.
The nation has been through very turbulent times lately, the first time the government collapsed in 1677 AN, after which it made an intense effort to exist again. The second existed for twenty years, then the second government collapsed in 1687 AN. Then the nation tried to make a presence in the green lands for a long time, then unexpectedly the signal came from the Freeland lands and applied to return to the MCS, but the council rejected this petition as they had not heard much about the internal affairs of the nation. Later, in the 1700s, Angsax occupied western Freeland, a nation called Vegno emerged to the east and covered most of the former Freeland territory. Thus, the hope of Freeland's rebirth around Apollonia ended and the citizens came under the identity of both countries.
History
The Republic of Freeland was founded on 25th April 2016 by Polish student Jakub Baran. Freeland is a micronation which claims land on Apollonia near Stormark.
