Steven "Steve" Stevenson is a Beaugian former-footballer who last played for Imperial United in Shireroth. He was the captain of the Beaugian national team for the entirety of its existence.

Club career

Stevenson began his professional career at the age of 28 by signing for Riponian club Gunners Athletic, prior to their first Premiership campaign. After that inaugural season, in 2008, Riponia was declared dead and its league dissolved.

Having been left without a club, 30-year-old Stevenson joined Cherry Trees FC in the Craitish League 1 as a free agent in the summer of 2008, taking the 25 shirt. His chances were limited with the club, being used sparingly due to the existing attacking strength of Freddie Gaärsen, Alexis Tereminus and Zen Daviddlaw. Stevenson spent three seasons at Cherry Trees, during what was somewhat of a lull in competitive success, and won his only trophy with the club, the league title, in his final season, where he scored five goals.

Having been transfer listed in the summer of 2011, Stevenson agreed to a Cr 6 million move to Imperial United in Shireroth's Pro Soccer League. After two years with United, Stevenson announced his retirement in 2013 at the age of 35.

International career

Stevenson was called-up for Beaugium's first FMF World Cup squad, where he was given captaincy of the team. He established a prolific strike partnership with Phil Phillipson, and the duo's combined ten goals led the team through the tournament unbeaten as they became the first ever winners; as captain, Stevenson became the first player to ever lift the trophy.

Stevenson captained Beaugium to a second finals the following year, after a brief hiatus for the team during which Stevenson was eligible for Lovely, but the holders finished bottom of their group, with Stevenson scoring their only goal. After failing to qualify in 2008, the 2009 FMF World Cup saw Stevenson top-score for Beaugium with five goals as he led the team to finish in fourth place. Stevenson failed to score at the finals for the first time in 2010, as the team finish bottom of their group, in what was his last tournament; Beaugium failed to qualify in their final two campaigns before leaving Micras in 2012. Stevenson's tally of ten World Cup goals made him his nation's joint-top scorer in the competition, alongside Phillipson.

Following Beaugium's demise in 2012, Stevenson gained eligibility for New Victoria, until his retirement in 2013, but wished to be never considered for a call-up.
