The Circum-Raynor War (named due to its theatre of operations being in and around the Raynor Sea) was a major micronational conflict during 2006, beginning as a dispute between Woodstania and Matbaa but eventually playing on rising tensions in the Micran Sector and becoming a war between the older, well established nations aligned with the Grand Commonwealth and Novasolum Sector, and the younger Lovely Sector nations which had begun to appear on Micras, many as CIS member states, by early 2006. Alliances were many over the course of the war, and for the sake of brevity one can divide the various political camps into the Lovely Sector, Grand Commonwealth and allied nations, and the Novasolum Sector. Once it became apparent a week after the conflict had begun that a general coalition against Lovely and Lovely Sector nations was emerging, the Novasolum and Grand Commonwealth nations joined together to assault Lovely, which had only recently joined the MCS. The conflict would result in a general military defeat for the Lovely Sector, though would provide its constituent nations with valuable military experience for the future. It was also one of the last great conflicts before the MCS-GSO split, which represented the culmination of dissatisfaction with the MCS and its association by some with the Lovely Sector after 2006.
