Abendinsel (Sangunese: 夕島, Yūjima; Âirumâli: Annotu Lâu; "evening island") is a lordship and island in the province of the Islands of Light (Whales, Natopia).
In 1698, it was carved out from the now former lordship of the New Territories. This obscure territory had been brought to order by the hitherto little regarded efforts of Augustin Engels-Kammersdorf, a Cibolan-Saxon emigre from the Lanzerwald who had been active in the territory since the Lanzerwalder-Whaler war, and who was subsequently recognised for his efforts in 1719 AN through his appointment as "Grand Pensionary" of the Principality of Whales by the reform-minded Prince of Whales, Daniel Lors Simrani-Kalirion.
