The The Hexarchy national football team is the football team which represents the micronation of The Hexarchy. It is a member of the EMUFA.

History

The team was founded in mid-2020 after The Hexarchy's Micrasian claim was successful. Headquarters for the team's management were quickly founded in the city of Kobol, where a sizeable stadium of the same name was built on an adjacent resort island with easy sea access for tourists. The team was dissolved after infighting within the Hexarchy's various governments, and thus split in 1688 AN into four distinct teams that qualify each year for the FMF at the national level.

The first team to form, Pyrax United, is based in the city of Azul'an and is run jointly by the governments of Pyrax and Suza.

The second team is called the Ashtaroth Eagles. It is funded in part by the Asshyria and is based in the port city of Ashtaroth.

The third team is known as the Eridu Dragons and is hosted in Enkidu.

The final team is called the Kanaloa Giants. They are funded entirely by the city of Kobol and are based there instead of in their namesake city through a closed-door arrangement between unknown parties.

Players

The team only consists mostly of representatives from Elam and the various districts and Realms of the Eventide Islands.

The team has exactly one representative from Pyrax, but this has been criticized by minority advocates as a "useless diversity move," given the fact that this person benches out most matches. At this time, the team has the provisional name of "Hexarchy United," although the name itself receives similar criticisms from pundits for pandering to minorities and others who wouldn't even care about the sport otherwise.

Stadiums

The team itself is nominally headquartered in all three capitals of the country equally, but in reality rarely leaves Kobol; only for purposes of travel between either there and Kanaloa or international destinations.

There are exactly two dedicated stadiums in the country. The one most often in use is located in Eventide's Kobol Stadium, on a popular resort island to the west of the eponymous city (Kobol) mostly dedicated to outdoors and sporting activities. It is also commonly called "Gilgamesh Stadium" by the locals, as he was the one whose assets made the country's first and only specialized football stadium a possibility. The second is located in Kanaloa, Elam, and is a multipurpose stadium usually used for far less innocuous sports than association football. International matches are rarely held here, due to costs associated with traveling to and visiting the city.

Flag

The Hexarchy has used the following flag during the entirety of its FMF affiliation. This has remained the case even since the 1688 split, as the winner of their national qualifiers adopts the national uniform and colors for that year.
