The 1st session of the Legislature of Klaasiya began on 20 Sonnuber 1693 AN, following the National Assembly election of the same year. Prior to the opening of the first session, the Free Juice and Bagels Party and the Democratic Party announced a coalition agreement, giving them majority control of the National Assembly with 68 out of 100 seats. For the reminder of the session, the main opposition became the Nationalist & Humanist Party with 19 assemblypeople in the lower chamber.

The first gathering of the lower house of the legislature, the National Assembly, occurred on 20 Sonnuber 1693, 15 days following its election. Several major votes took place on the Assembly's first day of operation.

The Emperor's appointees serve for life, unless impeached or resign, while each new National Assembly and President nominate new Senators at the beginning of their term.
