George Lanata is a Gerenian football manager who currently coaches Clementsgrad United.
Personal life and amateur career
Lanata was born in September 1960 in the northeastern town of Taizun; however, he moved to Port Isherwood soon afterwards. He was raised in the southern suburb of Seerom.
Lanata had a number of jobs before his first experience as a football manager. Between 2005 and early 2012, Lanata managed several amateur teams, and won two titles within that period.
Since December 2011, Lanata is living in Clementsgrad with his wife and their two children.
Professional career
Lanata applied for his first professional managerial job at Clementsgrad United in mid-2012. He was immediately hired, as the club's directors saw that Lanata was more experienced than the Gerenian League 1 managers.
During the 2012–13 season, Lanata instilled Clementsgrad United players a free-flowing, attacking style, which consolidated the club as one of the best sides in Gerenia.
Clementsgrad United failed to go through the group stage in the Gerenian AEFA Champions' League qualifiers of 2012 despite promising performances. Later that year, the team won the Stage One of the 2012–13 Gerenian League 2, which promoted them to the League 1.
By the end of 2012, Clementsgrad United took part in the first Gerenian National Cup, eventually reaching semi-finals, where they suprisingly lost to KZK Gentóul.
