Initially governed by a Civil Administrator for Raspur starting 21.VIII.1668, and later on a Minister for Raspur, it was directly governed by a Civil Administrator for Varaz, in the person of Ostāndār Farrokh beginning 13.I.1694, who reported to the Minister of Raspur, Yasmina al-Noor.
A consultative assembly known as the Varaz Durbar provides counsel to the Civil Administrator for Varaz, who exercises plenipotentiary authority within Varaz.
