Background
East Zimia and the Wallis Islands are like a regional successor to Passio-Corum. Football was very popular in Passio-Corum, except for combat sports. Ten teams competed in the New Zimian National Premier League and the league lasted nine seasons. Football was very popular in Passio-Corum as well as most of the member nations of the Thraci Confederation, and Thracistan's advance to the quarter-finals of the 2021 FMF World Cup and Hazar's third place in the 2022 CiboTap Championship increased international visibility. East Zimia draws inspiration from old regional football roots to bring the tournament to Corum for the first time.
