Felipe de la Vega (born 22.IX.1661 AN) is a New Alexandrian politician, lawyer, and member of the Federal Assembly representing the Region of Alduria.
Early Life and Education
Felipe de la Vega was born on 22.IX.1661 AN, to Martino de la Vega and Ariana de la Vega. He is of Martino and Wechua descent. Growing up, Felipe was an excellent student, consistently getting very good grades and obtaining many accolades for his intelligence, oratory, and good grades. He graduated from the University of Punta Santiago with a degree in law.

After completing his education, Felipe began his career as a lawyer, eventually becoming one of the most well-respected lawyers in Alduria. He developed a reputation for being a fierce advocate for his clients and for his expertise in contract law.
Military Career
Holding a reserve commission as a Lieutenant in the Military Legal Corps, he was soon called up to assist in Operation Paramount, as deputy staff legal officer and part of the Civil Affairs Troop, 601st General Support Regiment. Later detailed as part of Operation Mehlville to open a southern front in Eura. Confused tactical situation soon found him the ranking officer in temporary command of an understrength squadron of disorganized infantry. His courage and leadership under fire led him to being mentioned in despatches and nominated to the dignity of Member of the Order of the Federation, military division. With the end of the war, temporarily detailed to serve with the Raspur Pact Compensation Commission for an additional six-month tour of duty. Discharged with the rank of Captain in the reserve.
Political Career
De la Vega entered politics in 1703 AN when he was elected to the Federal Assembly as a member of the Federal Humanist Party. He has been reelected to the position in every subsequent election. His political views are center-right, seeing the federal government as a guide and overseer of regional and local governments. He is socially centrist, economically populist, and a foreign policy hawk.

Felipe is married to Marisela Soler y Chancha, and together they have five children: Joaquin, Catalina, Matias, Nicolás, and Isabella. He is also a grandfather to Sophia, Lorenzo, and Elena.
