The Royals were replaced by Cheetahs XII as Mataba's sole representation in Dauian professional football in 2023 as the developmental club entered the Daau Super League for the 2023–24 season. DPMM were relegated to the Daau League and were stripped of their professional license at the start of the season by the Matabese government, making them the second semi-professional club to play in the Daau League.
