The states are the principal administrative districts in the country. These are divided into subdivisions of municipalities and independent cities. The States and the Royal District of Zalae choose their Members of Parliament. The Dependencies are combined into a single multi-member [[Overseas Electoral District]].

Caputia had sovereignty over two unincorporated territories that did not form part of Caputia itself: [[Elizabeth Isle]], located in Eura; and [[Santa Melusina]], a portion of the island of Anterra in the Corprian Archipelago. Both territories were ceded by Passio-Corum to then-Hamland as part of the land exchange under the [[Treaty of Bel-Air]], which settled the Passasian Question.
