Subdivisions of Caputia
The subdivisions of Caputia are the ten States, one Royal District for the capital, and two dependencies.
The states are the principal administrative districts in the country. These are divided into subdivisions of municipalities and independent cities. The States and the Royal District of Zalae choose their Members of Parliament. The Dependencies are combined into a single multi-member Overseas Electoral District.
Parliamentary districts are apportioned among the States following a census of population. Each State then draws single member districts to conform with the census apportionment.

Dependencies
Caputia has sovereignty over two unincorporated territories which do not form part of the Caputia itself: Elizabeth Isle, located in Eura; and Santa Melusina, a portion of the island of Anterra in the Corprian Archipelago. Both of these territories were ceded by Passio-Corum to then-Hamland as part of the land exchange that came with the Treaty of Bel Air that settled the Passasian Question.
