Fernando Hernández Horta (born 7 January 1997) is a Dauian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Daau national team.

Fernando is currently a free agent following his release from Daau Bay United.

Club career

Daas FC

Born in Fuelelago, Daas, Hernández joined Daas FC's youth setup in 2012, from Real Sague. On 7 September 2014, he made his senior debut with the reserves, starting in a 1–0 Dauian Lower League away win against Super Carlico. Hernández scored his first senior goal with Daas FC in a 5-1 demolishing of then-rivals DJNP. He would continue to train with the senior side before renewing his contract to 2021 on the 30th of August.

On 22 September 2017, Fernando made his official senior debut in the Daau Top League, starting in a 2-1 victory over Daau United with him scoring once and assisting James Karlanger to help Daas FC with their season opener.

Seragaan FC

On the 21st of July 2021, Hernández would join Seragaan FC on a year-long deal with a total fee of Cr 500k, making him one the most expensive signings Seragaan would make in the 21st century.

With the team's disappointing start to the season, Fernando would make his debut in a 4-1 defeat to Daau United. Hernández would score his first goal for Seragaan 2 weeks later in a 2-1 comeback win over rivals Seragaan United. However, due to his injuries and a bad run of form, he only managed to get 16 appearances throughout the season and finish with a disappointing 3 goals and 2 assists.

He would announce that he had parted ways with the club at the end of the season and was seen in Krasnovlac.

Daau Bay United

Fernando would join Daau Bay United for free following his departure from Seragaan. It was reported he had accepted a massive pay cut to play for the club.

He would make his debut in the 6-1 win over MKHFC, with him scoring a hattrick to finish off his debut.

Things didn't go well for Fernando however, as the sudden departure of manager Rodrigo de Paulista left him in the hands of the interim manager who was known that hate Fernando. The relationship worsened on and off the pitch to the extent Fernando was banished from the squad and was sent to train and play with the reserve side. Fernando would terminate his contract following the manager's actions and is now a free agent

International career

Fernando was a regular for the Daau Under-21 side and progressed smoothly with the national sides, even being selected for a training camp under manager Markus Nielsen but sadly didn't make the cut. The midfielder is said to be exploring options and won't rule out a call-up from Mataba or Anahuaco.

Personal life

Fernando's father, Enzo Hernández was also a professional footballer who played in the lower levels in Daau. Fernando's mother and father are of Anahuacana descent meaning that he is eligible for Anahuaco.
