The Marco Zimmer Government Building is the workplace and headquarters of several ministries of the Council of State of Nouvelle Alexandrie. These include the Department of Social Security and National Solidarity; Department of Energy and Environment; and Department of Culture and Sports. It is located in the Government District in Cárdenas. It was completed in 1695 AN. The building is named after Marco Max Zimmer, 3rd Prime Minister of the Republic of Alduria from 1682 AN to 1684 AN, whose Assassination was a major defining moment in the history of Alduria.

The building includes two main towers where the Departments are located in, with floors dedicated to a specific department. It also has two smaller annex complexes behind the towers.

The building was constructed in 1686 AN as part of the New Prosperity Plan and the Cárdenas Plan to house the Department of Social Security. The Departments of Energy and Culture were added in 1687 AN. The building is known for its large concrete towers and large windows, and its large entry hall with long escalators.

Buildings and Rooms

Department of Social Security and National Solidarity

The DSSNS is located at the ground to the fourth floor, being the largest of the three organisations inside the building. It holds the offices for the different sub-departments, including dedicated office space for the Secretary and Deputies.

Department of Energy and Environment

The DEE is located on the fifth to seventh floor, as the second-oldest organisation in the building. It holds the offices for the different sub-departments, including dedicated office space for the Secretary and Deputies.

Department of Culture and Sports

The DCS is located on the eight to tenth floor, as the smallest organisation in the building. It holds the offices for the different sub-departments, including dedicated office space for the Secretary and Deputies.

Civil Service Annex

The two office buildings to the side are dedicated to the Federal Civil Service, performing secratarial and managerial duties for the departments, and acting as liaisons to the Government House. The West Building has five floors, and the East Building has seven floors. The West Building also holds the Press Room, where public press conferences are held.

Civil Service

The Federal Civil Service System works within the building, staffed with a mix of Civil Servants and Advisers. They are led by a Chief of Staff who oversees all department staff; while each department also has a dedicated Deputy. The staff are non-partisan by nature, but are selected by the Secretaries, on advice and consent of the Cortes Federales.
