Marco Max Zimmer, the 3rd Prime Minister of the Republic of Alduria, was assassinated on 13.XII.1684 AN in Valenciana, Alduria, while visiting a newly built hospital maintained by the Church of Alexandria, the Hospital of Our Lady of Santa Catalina.
Zimmer was accompanied by his Press Secretary, Jean Marmont, the Secretary of Interior, Antonio Valverde, Mother Superior John Mary, SS.CC. While touring the new emergency room of the hospital, the Prime Minister was shot three times while he exited a new ambulance by Frederique Bonchamps, an unemployed man from the city of Norvind. Jean Marmont was also seriously wounded in the attack.
After nearby police subdued the assailant, Bonchamps was immediately arrested and sent to the Valenciana City Jail under local and national law enforcement escort. Marmont and Zimmer were treated at the hospital they were visiting.
About an hour after he was shot, Marco Zimmer was pronounced dead after receiving last rites from a hospital chaplain; Marmont recovered.

- Caretaker Prime Minister Kylian Mbappé addressed the nation after being sworn-in by Judge Marcia Lopez of the Valencianan State Supreme Court. He publicly announced his intention to seek an electoral mandate of his own and recommended the President call for a general election.
- Former President and Ambassador to Ransenar Alejandro Campos tweeted "My thoughts and prayers go to the family of the late Prime Minister, Marco Zimmer. This senseless act of violence must be investigated and those inciting hate need to be held accountable."
