The Matbaa national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Matbaa. It was a founding member of both the FMF and CTFA, and was run by the MFF.

History

Matbaa was one of the founding members of the FMF when the organisation was created in October 2006 prior to the first FMF World Cup. The national team competed in the tournament, finishing second in their three-team group and advancing to the quarter-finals, where they were beaten 1–0 by eventual champions Beaugium.

The following year, the team competed in the inaugural World Cup qualifiers, finishing second in the CTFA's sole four-team group. The team advanced to the first CiboTap final, where they beat Alexandria on penalties for their first ever title. However, the team could not continue their form in the World Cup later in the year, and they finished bottom of their group with three points.

In 2008's qualifiers, the team could only manage to finish third in their four-team group with three points and failed to qualify for either of that year's major tournaments. Matbaa left Micras later in the year after being declared dead, prior to which it briefly split into two entities but retained a unified football team.
